Hi, I’m Matt Merlino…

I’m a senior-level, award-winning graphic designer and creative leader, but prefer to picture myself as a well-rounded artistic dreamer. I have led design teams both large and small, run the gamut of project management and client communication, and developed high-quality multimedia pieces for social media, television, print, digital marketing campaigns, live sporting events, and pretty much everything in between.

I’m always looking for new ways to express my creativity, whether it be creating professionally or freelancing, podcasting, writing, or probably something I haven’t even tried accomplishing yet.

I live and work in the Greater Pittsburgh Area, and have for the entirety of my life. I grew up 25 minutes outside of the city and received my bachelor’s degree in Media Arts/Graphic Design from Robert Morris University (Moon, PA).

I’m a true Yinzer at heart. Yes; I prefer fries on my sandwiches. Yes; I own too many Terrible Towels. Yes; I find Hunt’s ketchup repulsive. It’s cliche, I know, but I couldn’t be more proud to bleed black and gold.

In addition to my love for my city, I am a diehard Disney fan. It’s been an escape from reality and a major source of inspiration throughout my creative journey. I strive to replicate the company’s world-class attention to detail that has always been held on the highest pedestal – especially in their theme parks – as often as possible in my everyday work.

In addition to being major sources of my daily inspiration and my life as a whole, my admiration for my city and my never grow up attitude are both communicated through many of the works you’ll find in my portfolio.
